Who is Sir Walt?

Better known as Sir Walter Raleigh.

Sir Walter Raleigh was an English explorer, soldier and writer. Our beautiful city of Raleigh was named after Sir Walt when founded in 1792. Sir Walt was known to kick back and enjoy a drink or two but was known more as an avid smoker. However, smoking did not kill Sir Walter, he was decapitated for trumped up charges of conspiracy against King James I.
