Like many of you, we’re heartbroken over the loss and devastation of our neighbors in WNC from Helene. As they rebuild, help us come together in our downtown community to support those in need through a few ways here at the shop: THE KORKTOBERFEST KÄSE 💙🤍 All month long we’re donating 50% of the proceeds of our Kork Käse to @redcrossnc Hurricane Helene Relief ⛑️ A rotating selection of sale wines from around the world 🌎 so you can shop, save, and fundraise for our WNC neighbors. 🚚 & if you’re looking to donate goods we’ll be collecting supplies starting Sunday 10/6 at our Korktoberfest Kickoff party 🥨 Our hard working WNC-based distributors are running trucks on their delivery routes from the Triangle to Asheville to bring supplies to those in need ⛰️ See 2nd pic for a list of items! 🍷FREE TASTING & BAR TAKEOVER THURSDAY 9/26 with @portovino_imports 🇮🇹 🍇Will Atkinson, their National Sales Manager, will be pouring through a lineup of Italian wines in their portfolio. PortoVino specializes in importing wine from “iconic traditional growers and edgy outliers.” They represent family wineries that practice organic and follow minimal intervention in the cellar. You can expect to see sparkling, white, and red! (Even a sparkling red for you Lambrusco lovers!) 🍕We are also excited to welcome back @proof_rdu who will be slinging PIZZA out of the kitchen! Wine pairings from the tasting will be available to enjoy with each pie. Come for the tasting, stay for the pizza and a glass!

Director of Education from @uvaimports, Stephen James, will teach a master class on French wines. 🍷 Uva imports family-oriented producers who “favor conscious engagement with their work, respect the ecology of their vineyards, and maintain balance between innovation and tradition.” We’ve selected a line up of their wines to perfectly pair with fondue, and we can’t wait to share with you!
