The Bava family has been growing grapes in the same territory of Piemonte, Italy since the 1600s and started making wine more than a century ago. Located in the epicenter of Barbera production, in Piedmont's Monferrato subzone, they focus heavily on sustainable agriculture and believe that there is no future without it -- "listen to nature and follow her lead" as stated in their manifesto. Their wines showcase the care and beauty of both their terroir and their winemaking practices. As a historic producer that predates Italy's DOC system, they offer a wide range of classics that includes wines from beyond Monferrato's borders, including Barolo, Gavi, and more.
