Description

Join us for a plethora of special guests and free wine tastings as part of the Triangle Wine & Food Experience weekend! We're excited to host two special guests for Sip, Shop, & Sign on Friday night - Gustavo Sotelo of Scribe Winery in California, and Riccardo Campinoti of Le Ragnaie from Tuscany. Taste through a selection of their wines, meet the winemakers, and enjoy First Friday with us! Plus, a portion of all bottle sale proceeds from the event will support the Frankie Lemmon Foundation.

About Scribe Winery
Scribe was founded in 2007 by Adam and Andrew Mariani, brothers and fourth-generation California farmers. When they purchased the land in the 1800s it was an industrial turkey farm! The Marianis strive to work in harmony with the ecosystem and interfere as little as possible in the vineyard. Gustavo came to Scribe with an intensive background in winemaking, learning under some of the best in Napa Valley, Sonoma, and Spain. His non-interventionist methods are harmonious with Adam and Andrew's philosophy, and together they create clean, natural, and honest wines from classic varietals like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and more.

About Le Ragnaie
Located in one of the highest parts of Montalcino, Tuscany, Le Ragnaie specializes in the hallmark grape of its region - Sangiovese. Within their 28 hectare organic estate they have three different micro-climates, and are able to produce beautiful wines that express each unique terroir using ancient methods to craft the most traditional wines of Tuscany. He focuses on keeping things simple, even foregoing production of Reserva wines, as he believes that all of his wines should be vinified and aged the same way to ensure that the terroir shows as the only difference between them. Although a relatively new winery, Le Ragnaie is already considered one of the top 10 in a region of over 200 producers.
