Private Tasting: France & Fondue!
We're excited to welcome in Olivier Richard of Stork Wine Company for this intimate tasting event! Enjoy wines from all around France that show the depth of Olivier's portfolio, along with your own fondue pot to share and pair.
Stork Wine Company is the passion project of Northern Rhone-native Olivier Richard and second-generation California sommelier Jeremy Meyer. Combining their experience and expertise of both the French and the American markets, these two created a company to represent and import delicious wines made by small, family-owned operations that use sound and environmentally beneficial farming practices. As their company motto says: “Life is too short to drink shitty wine!”
We'll be starting with a welcome glass of Champagne as you you get to know more about Stork Wine Company and Olivier. Then we'll move into a 'Tour de France’ that will include wines from Bordeaux, Sancerre, Burgundy, and Cahors. You’ll have the opportunity to engage and hear directly from the person who tasted and hand-selected these wineries to be a part of his portfolio, learn how the grapes are grown, how the wine gets made, and everything in between the vineyard and your glass.
Elevated wines deserve elevated food and as part of the private tasting you'll enjoy a classic, in-house French fondue appetizer to start your evening. The fun and fanciful flavors of crusty Boulted Bread and other accoutrements dipped into melted cheese paired with Olivier's wines will be a delicious launching point to discuss the wonderful food pairings to enjoy with these wines.
