The Doors Are Open!
We’ve re-located to a newly renovated, historic building in the Olde East district of Downtown Raleigh at 317 S. Bloodworth St. so we can serve you better!
We welcome you to come check out the new space, shop the same, artisanal, hand-selected wines you love, and learn about all of the exciting things to come in the (very) near future at Bloodworth.
A New Shopping Experience
Formerly the fellowship hall for the, now vacant, Smith Temple Baptist Church, the building interior has been completely renovated and transformed into a modern, open, inviting gathering and retail space with natural lighting, seating, and shelving, that still stays true to the building’s and neighborhood’s aesthetic.
You’ll continue to see the same, hand-crafted wines on our shelves, but in an open atmosphere with seating intermingled throughout the space allowing y’all to immerse yourselves in the shopping experience while enjoying a taste, a glass, or a shared bottle of wine. Additional outdoor seating provides a place for the community to gather and engage with the surrounding Downtown Raleigh neighborhood.
Serving You Better!
The new location is ideally located, allowing us to continue to grow and serve the downtown community and the Triangle overall. By moving to a larger space, we can continue to offer the best, curated selection of hand-crafted wines while additionally offering dedicated spaces on-site for hosting classes, private events, and co-working events of various sizes. We’ve also expanded our by-the-glass program with a full wine bar for tasting and glass pours for on-premise consumption with plans for a unique food program featuring a selection of cut to order charcuterie and artisanal cheeses from around the world.

“We are excited to have Raleigh Wine Shop join Empire on South Bloodworth Street in downtown Raleigh. We have been long-time customers and now we’re thrilled they’re a tenant. Their selection of wines and personal attention to customer service make The Raleigh Wine Shop an excellent addition to this thriving part of downtown, which has an ever-growing number of residents. We think The Raleigh Wine Shop is an ideal fit for our mid-20th century space and the unique neighborhood character, with its historic mix of residential, commercial, retail and light industrial.” – Andrew Stewart, President of Empire Properties
