We’re turning six years old and celebrating with a weekend of free tastings and special discounts on wine and everything else in the store including provisions, accessories, and apparel. We’ll have free tastings and special events all weekend including:

Friday Night Food Truck
This year we’re starting the weekend off with an Italian Winemaker Festival and our friends at Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck on Friday night.

Saturday Tastings
Wall to wall free tastings all day long including deeply discounted special selections

Sunday Farmers + Markers Market
For the first time ever, we are hosting a Farmers + Makers Market in our parking lot on Sunday supporting local farmers and purveyors and raising money for Inter-faith Food Shuttle’s mission to break the cycle of hunger. Since we’re filling up our regular parking lot, we’ve got extra free parking caddy-corner at Duncan-Parnell taken care of for you when you come down!

With different tastings and events all weekend, you have tons of great reasons to hang out with us each and every day and take advantage of special pricing by stocking up at our biggest sale of the year!

Friday, May 19th: Store Hours: 11am 8pm
Swing by on Friday to get the biggest selection and first shot at some of the deepest discounts we’ll have all year plus a kickoff party Friday evening with Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck!
5pm – 8pm: Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck
Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck will be setup in our parking lot serving their delicious lobster-based menu.
5pm – 8pm: Italian Winemaker Festival
Our good friends from Piedmont Wine Imports will be bringing four of their winemakers to the shop for an Italian Wine Festival! Enjoy these delicious artisanal wines that will make the lobster taste even better!
5pm – 8pm: Cocktail Tasting
Meet our friends from Crude Bitters, Alley Twenty Six Tonic, and Foggy Ridge Cider as they mix up some delicious wine and cider based cocktails and show you how versatile their mixers can be.
5pm – 8pm: Provisions Tasting
While you’re tasting the cocktails, enjoy a pairing of the deliciously addictive gluten free cheese straws by Five Points Baking Co.

Saturday, May 20th: Store Hours: 10am – 7pm
The shop will be open early for y’all to shop our storewide sale before the crowds with a plethora of free tastings rotating all day long!
10am – Noon: Emendis ‘Can Xa’ Mimosas

Start your day with something sparkling! Can Xa Cava Mimosas and glasses of Can Xa bubbly for $2 will be poured while you shop our awesome store-wide sale.
Noon – 3pm: Wine Tastings
John Lambrakis of Bordeaux Fine & Rare and Ariel Tetterton of Advintage Distributing will both be pouring some of their crazy good wines.
11am – 2pm: Charcuterie Tasting
We’ll have the fine folks from Charlito’s Cocina Salumi, Ormann’s Cheese Shop, and Green River Picklers will be sampling their delicious, wine-friendly, handmade provisions.
2pm – 5pm: Nellino’s Sauce, Therapni Olive Oil & Boulted Bread
Nellino’s Sauce Co.  (formerly Nello’s Italy) will be here serving up some of delicious specialty tomato sauces, hand-crafted from his grandmother’s recipe right here in the Triangle. You’ll be sopping up that delicious sauce and some artisanal Extra Virgin olive oil with samples from the much-acclaimed Boulted Bread.
3pm – 6pm: More Wine Tastings
Brad Beavers of The Country Vintner & John McCarthy of Proof Wine & Spirits will be tasting some stellar wines from their portfolios.
3pm – 6pm: Coravin Demonstration
We’ll be showing you how one of the newest accessories to the shop, the Coravin, can let you enjoy a glass or a sample of wine out of any cork-finished bottled and still save the rest of the bottle for as long as you want with no spoilage or oxidation. Not just for wine collectors, see how this awesome gizmo is changing the way the world is drinking wine.

Sunday, May 21st: Store Hours: Noon – 5pm
Join us again on Sunday for a first time ever Farmers + Markers Market in our parking lot selling locally made and grown provisions and raising money to break the cycle of hunger in North Carolina. Since we’re filling up our regular parking lot, we’ve got extra free parking caddy-corner at Duncan-Parnell taken care of for you when you come down!
Noon – 4pm: Farmers + Markers Market
For the first time ever, we are hosting a Farmers + Makers Market in our parking lot with a portion of the proceeds going to support Interfaith Food Shuttle and their mission to to break the cycle of hunger. With over a dozen local growers and purveyors this is a great opportunity to support your greater community just by shopping. Our parking lot with be packed with farmers, juicers, artisans, pasta makers, dog treat bakers, ice cream makers, butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers! We’ll also have our friends from Tarboro Brewing Company posted up next to us so you can enjoy your beverage of choice while you shop! Plus we’ll have Carolina Adopt-a-Bulls outside as well so you can find your new best friend! With over a dozen local growers and purveyors this is a great opportunity to support your greater community.
Noon – 4pm: Drink Specials From the Market
Drink specials of Humdinger Juice Glowmosas (Humdinger Glow cold-pressed juice with sparkling wine) and Texas Bloody Mary Mix & Tarboro Brewing Co. Micheladas.
Noon – 3pm: Even More Wine Tastings
Neal Thornton of Grapevine Distributors will be pouring some tasty new arrivals and Bickham Kelly of Tryon Distributors will be sampling the best canned wine we have ever tasted! Vintage dated and not loaded down with added sugar, this is canned wine for the oenophile.
Noon – 3pm: Coravin Demonstration
If you missed Saturday’s demonstration with the Coravin, we’ll be busting it out again to show you why you need this device in your life and discounted during the sale, you might not be able to leave without one!
Noon – 4pm: Chocolate for Dessert
After enjoying the Farmers + Makers Market and the delicious wine tastings, come inside to sample the best chocolate in town made by our friends at Escazu Artisan Chocolates while you finish shopping at our biggest storewide sale of the year!
